Welcome to Jackdaw Tools eCommerce website. Jackdaw Tools Limited and team provides services subject to notices, terms and conditions as set out below. By accessing, browsing, or shopping on this website, you agree to all the terms and conditions in this agreement. Please read them carefully.
  1. Shipping and Delivery Terms
  • 2.1 All orders over £100.00 excluding VAT are delivered free within the UK, excluding Highlands & Islands and Northern Ireland. When you place an order on our website the cost of delivery will be automatically calculated in your shopping basket.
  • 2.2 All deliveries must be signed for, and will therefore not be left unattended. Deliveries are usually made during normal working hours. If you need to make any special arrangements with us for your delivery please contact us with your order number immediately after placing your order. Deliveries must be checked immediately upon receipt. If any damage is evident, please either sign for the delivery as 'damaged', marking the Carrier's receipt accordingly, or do not accept the delivery. Any damage or missing items must be reported within 24 hours of receipt, including photos of the damaged goods where appropriate.
  • 2.3 Your order will be fulfilled by the delivery date set out in the Dispatch Confirmation or, if no delivery date is specified, then within a reasonable time of the date of the Dispatch Confirmation, unless there are exceptional circumstances. Please note that all delivery dates are estimates only and we shall have no liability to you in relation to such delivery dates not being met.

  1. Prices and Payment
  • 3.1 The price of our products change from time to time. If there is a change in the price of a Product ordered, we will inform you before the Product is dispatched and invoiced.
  • 3.2 The prices quoted on the website are excluding VAT and delivery costs. Both of these costs will be added to the order at checkout.
  • 3.3 We reserve the right to apply a delivery charge or increase in the delivery charge for exceptional orders. By exceptional orders we mean bulk orders for items that result in a weight increase that would not be sent in a box normally around 20kgs in weight. We would notify you of this charge before dispatching your order.
  • 3.4 Payment for all Products must be by credit/debit card or PayPal. We accept direct payment with Visa, Visa Debit, Maestro, and Mastercard. We will not charge your credit or debit card until we despatch your order or 4 days have passed, whichever is sooner. Payments made via PayPal are transferred immediately.
  1. Contract
  • 4.1 After placing an order, you will receive an e-mail from us acknowledging that we have received your order. Please note that this does not mean that your order has been accepted. Your order constitutes an offer to us to buy a Product. All orders are subject to acceptance by us, and we will confirm such acceptance to you by sending you an e-mail that confirms that the Product has been dispatched (the Dispatch Confirmation). The contract between us (Contract) will only be formed when we send you the Dispatch Confirmation.
  • 4.2 The Contract will relate only to those Products whose dispatch we have confirmed in the Dispatch Confirmation. We will not be obliged to supply any other Products which may have been part of your order until the dispatch of such Products has been confirmed in a separate Dispatch Confirmation.
  1. Consumer Rights
  • 5.1 If you are contracting as a consumer, you may cancel a Contract at any time within 16 calendar days, beginning on the day after you received the Products. In this case, you will receive a full refund of the price paid for the Products in accordance with our refunds policy (set out in clause 7.1 below).
  • 5.2 To cancel a Contract, you must inform us in writing. You must also return the Product(s) to us immediately, in the same condition in which you received them, and at your own cost and risk. You have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of the Products while they are in your possession. If you fail to comply with this obligation, we may have a right of action against you for compensation.
  1. Risk and Title
  • 6.1 The Products will be at your risk from the time of delivery. Ownership of the Products will only pass to you when we receive full payment of all sums due in respect of the Products, including delivery charges.
  1. Refunds Policy
  • 7.1 If you have cancelled the Contract between us within the sixteen-day cooling-off period (see clause 5.1), we will process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 days of the day you have given notice of your cancellation. In this case, we will refund the price of the Product in full. However, you will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us.
  • 7.2 If you have cancelled the Contract between us for any other reason or because you claim that the Product is defective, we will examine the returned Product and will notify you of any refund via e-mail within a reasonable period of time. We will usually process the refund due to you as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 days of the day we confirmed to you via e-mail that you were entitled to a refund for the defective Product. Products returned by you because of a defect will be refunded in full, including a refund of the delivery charges for sending the item to you and the cost incurred by you in returning the item to us. The cost incurred by you for return is limited to £10.
